CYPHER (sy-fer) noun/redefined = A circle of group of individuals focused on the same goals. The organization's logo is called the Crazyhead.
The NYC Arts Cypher is an official 501c3 nonprofit organization that is committed to promoting positive values through arts and entertainment programs, projects, and events. Our organization is focused on the youth in our communities; in particular at-risk teens who have difficulty working in an educational setting. Our goal is to motivate young people to apply their energies in a positive and productive manner.
But let’s rewind a bit, shall we? What you need to know about us is that the NYC Arts Cypher has tirelessly worked for nearly a decade to utilize our space and resources as a tool for change. We are constantly energized and motivated by those whom we have influenced. Our children need the NYC Arts Cypher because it’s an environment which inspires them to find the confidence they need to recognize their own potential. Our dynamic and diverse programs are designed to use the arts as a catalyst to mentor youth and support them with future career goals.
